About
I can honestly say that I have had anything but a normal life. I grew up as a type of gypsy, thanks to my mother and father who were active on the PRCA rodeo circuit during my childhood. My imagination and sense of creativity were born on the road with little more to do than watch signs whiz by or create my own games. I can remember early on crafting my first stories in my head to entertain myself. They were nothing but childish gibberish but many I recall fondly even to this day.
My first stories I wrote were in my teen years when reading no longer satisfied what I wanted to explore and the best option was to write what I wanted to read. I have never stopped writing these stories. Sometimes they reflect my own background, having grown up with animals and on the road, full of adventure and mystery, dripping with the spirit of wandering feet. I’m guilty of taking after my parents traveling example; I have traveled limitedly in Europe and Asia, working with orphans and teenagers.
In my short years I have done many things people only ever dream about. I have ridden a horse through a river, I’ve ridden a bucking bull, I’ve played roller derby, I’ve traveled the world, I have four degrees—and I want to do more. I want to take people to the places that only I can take them. Not everyone can do the things I have done, but I can take them there in a story. Once, writing was an escape for me, now it is a joy that I want to share.
