Okay, today’s Wordless Wednesday isn’t so wordless. The picture is of my brother, in ’68. The writing on the back says “James Billy Tyer – 68 – 5 neck – 20 overall”. When you translate that, it means that my brother was probably at a calf roping when this was taken, that he caught 5 calves by the neck and was ranked 20 overall in the competition. I don’t know what 68 means. He’s 20 years older than me, so this couldn’t have been takenin 68, so that number will always be a mystery. Few people know I have an older brother. I haven’t seen him since I was about 13 and my father hasn’t spoken to his son since I was a toddler. It’s a sad story, and this picture is probably all I’ll ever have of my brother.
